What is the Corpus Christi Association of REALTORS®

If you've ever participated in a real estate transaction as a buyer or seller, you know what an asset a knowledgeable, professional REALTOR® can be in closing the sale. That's what we at the Corpus Christi Association of REALTORS® (CCAR) are all about. With our 1,000+ member organization, our primary goals are to serve the REALTOR®, the community and you, through education, involvement and property rights protection.

Since one of the Association's main goals is to promote education among our REALTORS®, we offer extensive educational opportunities for our REALTOR® members. We also require every new REALTOR® who joins our Association to attend an intensive orientation within the first three months of their membership and to attend mandatory continuing education courses.

Association members are offered a full Multiple Listing Service (MLS). Another way for REALTOR® members to show their listings to the public is through our internet site www.CCAROnline.com.

In addition to selling property, Corpus Christi REALTORS®, get involved in our community. One of the major projects sponsored or participated in by the Association is Walk-with-Pride, a project where more than 500 needy children are given a new pair of shoes just prior to starting school.

In becoming a REALTOR® member of the Association, each REALTOR in turn becomes a member of TAR and the National Association of REALTORS®(NAR). From NAR down to the local level, a high priority is not just the sale of real estate, but also the protection of your property rights. At every level, real estate associations have lobbyists and legislative counsel who lobby to maintain good legislation and fight against bills becoming law that would damage the individual or their right to private ownership of real estate.
